《瑞克和莫蒂》（英語：Rick and Morty）是賈斯汀·羅蘭德和丹·哈蒙為卡通網絡深夜節目Adult Swim創作的美國成人動畫科幻情景喜劇。該劇主要圍繞於憤世嫉俗的瘋狂科學家瑞克和他容易受挫折的外孫莫蒂在他們的國內家庭生活和跨維度冒險的奇幻經歷，於2013年12月2日首播。並有漫畫等衍生作品。

創作背景
本劇最初取自於一部在101頻道上展出的《The Real Animated Adventures of Doc and Mharti》，是一部惡搞《回到未來》的短片，由羅蘭德和哈蒙共同創作。後來，Adult Swim採納了哈蒙的構想，他和羅蘭德決定根據該短片來製作一部電視動畫，同時他們也對原短片做了些更動。
動畫簡介
天才兼瘋子科學家Rick在失蹤多年後突然回到女兒Beth的身邊，並且在她的車庫裡搞了一個科學實驗室。Rick有一把「傳送槍」，可以穿越到宇宙的各個次元。孫子Morty莫名其妙就成了他的助手，經常被拖進他的自製太空船內，跟他一同開展各種瘋狂刺激的宇宙冒險。女兒女婿對他的瘋狂行為感到不滿，卻又對這個天才科學家無可奈何。
劇集中出現了大量涉及粗口、暴力、性暗示以及濫用藥物的情節，導致引入時被打上了很厚很多的碼。而頻繁出現的政治隱喻和大量的玩梗、致敬也是該劇的特色之一。

莫蒂·史密斯 (Morty Smith)
瑞克14歲的孫子，經常被瑞克強行拉走，和其一起外出冒險。平時個性善良（有時會接近偽善）、天真、懦弱，且十分容易受他人影響。被認為智商不高，且有學習障礙。但他的天性中也有機智、勇敢，乃至於暴力的一面，而這些常常被自卑所壓抑，在特殊情況下才會流露出來。不願受瑞克的擺布，追求獨立，卻總因此受難而反被瑞克救援。渴望得到性福，並經常因此而闖禍。同時也是本作唯一一位沒有脖子的主角。

桑美·史密斯 (Summer Smith)
莫蒂的姐姐、貝絲和傑瑞的女兒、瑞克的孫女。有著美國青少年的典型性格，希望在同齡人中變得受歡迎，會去追求男同學的青睞。個性機智幽默，能夠與瑞克並肩作戰，在生死攸關的情況下反應迅速，理性選擇救援或是殺戮。偶爾會因瑞克偏愛與冒險而感到嫉妒。似乎對自身之外的社會並不感興趣，常以低頭玩手機的方式表達她對周圍環境的冷漠。可能是因為作畫師偷懶，去掉頭髮後的桑美的臉型和臉部特徵與傑瑞完全相同。
